Jan Hinrichs

As a bank clerk and graduated in business management (BA) Jan Hinrichs collected first international experiences as a management trainee in IBM in New York. Other stations were the several years' managing of a family owned retail company as well as consultancy for ERP projects implementing software tools in specialized retail business.
In the responsibility as General Manager of the ASSIMA group, a marketing and buying group for accessories retail companies, he integrated by takeover the competitor ANCONIA successfully into the company and developed the group thus to the market leader in this market segment. A real innovation was the application of the first WEB based ERP system as application service provider for connected partners as well as in 1999 the development of the B2B platform "Accessories Online World".
In 2001 Jan Hinrichs was nominated as a board member of SPIELE MAX AG with responsibility for the restructuring and turn-around of the company. SPIELE MAX is a retail chain selling toys, baby hardware and kids fashion. After successful turn-around, reorganization of the shareholder structure and in 2008 successfully sale to a strategic investor, an internationally active retail group based in Poland, Mr. Hinrichs accompanies the integration in the group as a chairman of the board of directors until end of 2011.
In the function as an advisory board member and private investor Mr. Hinrichs has accompanied the development of the e-commerce company BRANDS4FRIENDS as a Start-Up since 2007 up to 2010 ending with the successful sale to EBAY.
Beside the professional expert's knowledge Mr. Hinrichs is also an excellent team player and motivator. In 1985 he received the medal of honors "Silbernes Lorbeerblatt" due to the victory in the German National Offshore Sailing team during the “Admiral's Cup”.
